KEF's UniQ technology was introduced in 1988 and has since been perfected to cover a wide range of price points and models. This UniQ technology allows a wide and consistent dispersion, bringing its benefits to home theatre systems as well as audio systems.
The new Q Series is by far the best yet, and has set new performance levels in their price range.
KEF Q150 loudspeakers
The Q150 is a small two-way bass reflex design, using a 5.25" mid/bass driver and 1" HF unit making it ideal for smaller rooms.
Despite their small size, their bass performance is surprisingly taut, with UniQ openness and sweetness topping off the package.

KEF Q350 loudspeakers
The Q350 is essentially a larger version of the Q150, using the same 1" HF unit, but a larger 6.5" mid bass unit, increasing bass depth and punch, and improving midrange performance as well as increasing efficiency.

KEF Q550 loudspeakers
The first floorstanding model in the range is the Q550, which is based around the 5.25" UniQ of the Q150, but adds in a 5.25" bass driver, as well as two 5.25" bass radiators in a sealed cabinet. These radiators avoid the more common problems of bass reflex ports.

KEF Q750 loudspeakers
The larger Q750 is based around the 6.5" UniQ of the Q350, with a dedicated 6.5" bass driver with two 6.5" bass radiators. These larger drivers increase efficiency, and allow higher output for easily filling larger rooms and spaces.

KEF Q950 loudspeakers
The biggest floorstander in the range - the Q950 - gets its own dedicated 1.5" HF unit housed in an 8" mid/bass driver UniQ array.
The dedicated 8" bass driver is flanked by two 8" bass radiators, giving an efficiency of 91dB, making it twice as efficient as the Q750. This helps the Q950 fill the largest of living rooms or dedicated home theatres easily, and makes the most of the available power from lower powered amplifiers.
